Four Miners Injured in Fire at ERG's Donskoy Mining Complex

A fire broke out at the "Bolashaq" mine of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Complex in Khromtau on February 28, leaving four miners injured, Orda reports.
The Police report the incident involved a hydrogen release at the facility, and an investigation has begun into possible safety violations.
An operational headquarters has been established following the incident, with leadership from the Department of Emergency Situations of Aqtobe region, military unit personnel, and disaster medicine center staff arriving at Donskoy GOK "Kazchrome."
A hotline has also been set up.
At the time of the incident, there were 228 workers in the mine, all of whom were brought to the surface. Mine operations have been temporarily suspended, and mine rescuers are conducting hydrogen measurements, reported Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Khromtau District Hospital provided details on the injured miners' conditions.
Two of the injured have been hospitalized in the trauma department, one patient was sent home, and one is in intensive care in serious condition. All are receiving necessary medical care in full, clarified Lyudmila Volnenko, deputy chief physician of the district hospital.
Authorities have initiated a pre-trial investigation into safety regulation violations during mining operations.
