Toqayev and Lavrov Discussed Putin's Visit

Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev received Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who arrived in Astana on a working visit, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Welcoming the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Toqayev noted that bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia is developing dynamically in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership.
He emphasized that this is largely facilitated by regular political dialogue at the highest level and the coordinated work of the governments and parliaments of the two countries.
During the conversation, preparations for the upcoming state visit of the Russian President to Kazakhstan were mentioned.
We are preparing for this visit seriously. We believe that this will be a landmark event in our interstate relations. Our relations are exemplary and are developing dynamically. The upcoming visit will give additional impetus to our strategic partnership and alliance, said Qasym-Jomart Toqayev.
Sergey Lavrov assured that all multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, including the agenda of the upcoming visit, is being thoroughly worked out at the level of the two countries' governments and foreign policy departments.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also expressed gratitude to Toqayev for organizing a scientific and practical conference in Astana to mark MGIMO's 80th anniversary.
