Preparations are continuing at the Baikonur Cosmodrome for the launch of the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station, Orda.kz reports.
According to Roscosmos, an inspection of the spacecraft was carried out at the cosmodrome, along with operations to install the payload fairing, which protects the vehicle from overheating and aerodynamic stress while passing through dense layers of the atmosphere.
Earlier, the spacecraft was also integrated with the transfer compartment, which provides the mechanical connection to the launch vehicle and supports interaction between onboard systems.

Final assembly with the launch vehicle is scheduled for April 22, and the launch itself is scheduled for April 26.
The new cargo spacecraft will replace Progress MS-32, which is completing its mission. According to Roscosmos, on the night of April 21 it is due to undock from the station, re-enter the dense layers of the atmosphere and burn up, while any surviving fragments are expected to fall into a non-navigable area of the South Pacific
