Health Ministry Reports Increase in Early Cancer Detection in Kazakhstan

Early detection of cancer has increased in Kazakhstan, Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova said at a government meeting, Orda.kz reports.
According to her, the increase is linked to the modernization of screening programs and the growing number of examinations.
This made it possible to additionally cover 300,000 people. As a result of screening, 320,000 people were placed under dynamic observation, an increase of 10%. Early detection of cancer rose to 35%, while coverage of effective screening methods increased from 4% to 38%.Alnazarova said.
She added that more than 800,000 citizens had received insured status, and 200,000 people had already been provided with medical care. The Health Ministry also introduced a new screening program for the early detection of stroke, which made it possible to additionally cover 300,000 people.
