“Report Every Two Weeks”: Qasym-Jomart Toqayev Gives Instructions to Almaty Akim

On Saturday, March 29, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev visited Almaty as part of a working trip. During this visit, he gave a series of specific tasks to the city’s Akim, Yerbolat Dossayev, Orda.kz reports.
According to presidential press secretary Ruslan Zheldibay, the President raised issues related to evening street lighting, improvements in public spaces and courtyards, and timely access to water in residential buildings.
Toqayev also emphasized the importance of holding regular “Taza Kazakhstan” cleanup campaigns and increasing urban greening efforts. He called for improved traffic management to address environmental concerns in the city and resolve other pressing issues facing residents.
The Akim was instructed to step up management efforts to restore proper order in the country's largest city and strengthen its role as a financial, sports, tourism, and cultural hub,the statement said.
Yerbolat Dossayev is now expected to report directly to the President every two weeks on progress.
