Kazakhstan Announces Final Kurultai Election Results

Five parties have entered Kazakhstan’s new unicameral legislature, with Adilet securing 110 of its 145 seats, Orda.kz reports.

According to the final results, Adilet received 6,528,948 votes, or 71.17%.

The remaining seats were distributed as follows:

  • Auyl — 574,621 votes, or 6.26%, and 10 seats;
  • Respublica — 509,631 votes, or 5.56%, and nine seats;
  • Ak Zhol — 478,083 votes, or 5.21%, and eight seats;
  • Nationwide Social Democratic Party — 469,058 votes, or 5.11%, and eight seats.

The People’s Party of Kazakhstan received 285,395 votes, or 3.11%, while the Baytaq Green Party received 97,751 votes, or 1.07%. Both remained below the 5% threshold and received no seats.

A total of 12,623,289 people were registered to vote, with 9,351,539 casting ballots. Final turnout was 74.08%, while 2.51% voted against all parties.
