Toqayev Personally Welcomes Vietnamese Communist Party Leader at Astana Airport

Kazakhstan President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev personally greeted To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, upon his arrival in Astana on May 5, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
The two leaders are scheduled to hold talks and sign several key agreements during the visit.
I consider your visit to be historic in nature and will certainly give additional impetus to the large-scale development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and fraternal Vietnam. What I saw during my visit to your country left an unforgettable impression on me, the press service of Aqorda quotes the president.
Toqayev previously visited Vietnam in November 2024, during which the two countries signed several agreements, including one on the mutual transfer of convicted individuals.
