During the meeting, the Russian side received information from Washington and conveyed "additional signals" to President Donald Trump, according to Novaya Gazeta.
Peskov emphasized that a conversation between Putin and Trump is anticipated soon, with the date to be determined after Witkoff reports back to the U.S. President:
There is an understanding that it (a conversation between Putin and Trump - Ed.) is needed. he said.
Peskov also denied claims that U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg was excluded from talks at Moscow's request.
