Former Vice Minister of Labor Akmadi Sarbasov Detained

Akmadi Sarbasov, former First Vice Minister of Labor and current head of the Center for the Development of Labor Resources, has been detained, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection confirmed the information.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population confirms the fact of the detention of the head of JSC 'Center for the Development of Labor Resources.' The Ministry provides assistance to the investigative bodies in the established manner. All issues related to the course of the investigation are within the competence of the authorized bodies, the Ministry stated.
According to Orda.kz sources, the investigation is being handled by the Almaty Department of Economic Investigations. The case reportedly concerns the unauthorized transfer of citizens’ personal data to private entities.
Sarbasov assumed leadership of the Labor Resources Center in April 2025 and has worked within the Ministry's structure since 2005.
