Tengizchevroil has restored oil production at the Tengiz field to normal levels after a failure at the end of May, Orda.kz reports, citing Russian news outlets.
The company said the consequences of the incident had been fully eliminated.
“Tengizchevroil safely restored oil production at Tengiz to normal levels after a short-term failure at one of its facilities. Exports through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium continue smoothly,” the company’s press service said.
The operational failure, which temporarily reduced production volumes, occurred on May 28. Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy said at the time that the situation was under control and posed no threat to employees, residents or the environment.
