Another performance by Kazakh stand-up comedian Galym Kaliakbarov has been canceled after his previous show was interrupted in Astana, Orda.kz reports.
The performance was scheduled for August 21 at the Central Stand Up Club. The organizers said it had been canceled for reasons beyond their control and that all tickets would be fully refunded.
On August 19, Kaliakbarov’s show in Astana was interrupted when a man in plain clothes entered the venue and said the event was being held illegally.
The Astana akimat later said the organizers had failed to submit the required notification at least 10 days before the event and that the performance had therefore not been approved.
