Kyrgyzstan’s President on Akylbek Japarov’s Resignation: It Had to Be Done
Kyrgyz presidential administration
President Sadyr Japarov explained why he dismissed Akylbek Japarov, Orda reports, citing Kloop.
The President said he had to make this decision to avoid a conflict of interest, noting the negative situation around the Tax Service due to "fraudulent schemes" with excise stamps.
As you know, this industry was under the direct control of Akylbek Usenbekovich. This means that illegal actions in the tax system could have been prevented, he said.
The President emphasized the former prime minister’s notable contribution to the country's economic achievements.
We must say openly that these achievements are due to the contribution of Akylbek Japarov. I think that there is no need to overly politicize (the resignation - Ed.), Japarov said.
