Kazakhstan's Finance Minister Madi Takiyev says each child enrolled in the National Fund for Children program has been credited with $370.56 over three years, with $130.71 added in 2026 alone, Orda.kz reports.

Takiyev made the announcement at a joint session of parliament's chambers, where he presented the government's report on the 2025 national budget.

The National Fund's total assets reached $73.8 billion at the end of 2025, with the foreign currency portfolio accounting for $63.9 billion.

The minister said authorities are working with the National Bank on a mechanism to manage unclaimed funds — money left in accounts by children who have come of age but have not withdrawn their savings. The goal, he said, is to preserve the funds, maintain liquidity and generate investment returns for recipients.

Takiyev also outlined Kazakhstan's key economic indicators for 2025. The economy grew by 6.5%, inflation stood at 12.3%, average monthly wages reached 442,000 tenge and unemployment held at 4.6%. Public debt at year-end amounted to 36.4 trillion tenge, or 22.8% of GDP.
