Kyrgyzstan: Akylbek Japarov Resigned as Prime Minister

The Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, has left his post, Orda.kz reports.
24.kg reports that Akylbek Japarov wrote a letter of resignation of his own accord. Its sources conveyed this information.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, who has held the post of first deputy head of the Cabinet of Ministers since 2022, has been appointed acting head of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan.
Akylbek Japarov has been the Chair of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic since October 13, 2021.
On December 4, Akylbek Japarov met with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
They discussed the construction of a transport and logistics center on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and improving transport links between them.
Meanwhile, Kloop reports that the dismissal is due to Akylbek Japarov transferring to a new position.
