Rybakina Takes 13th Career Title at the Stuttgart Tournament

Kazakhstan’s top-ranked player Elena Rybakina ended her run at the WTA 500 clay tournament in Stuttgart in triumphant fashion, winning the title, Orda.kz reports, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
In the title match, the leader of Kazakhstan’s national team defeated Czech player Karolina Muchova, ranked 12th in the WTA standings, once again confirming her status as one of the world’s strongest tennis players.
The final lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes. The opening set was closely contested, with Elena deciding it at the very end, 7:5. In the second set, the Kazakhstani’s advantage became overwhelming.
Strong baseline play and efficient conversion of her chances allowed Rybakina to close out the set 6:1. During the final, Elena hit three aces, did not commit a single double fault and converted four of eight break points.
On her way to the final, the Kazakhstani tennis player defeated Russia’s Diana Shnaider, ranked 19th, 6:3, 6:4, and Canada’s Leylah Fernandez, ranked 25th, 6:7, 6:4, 7:6.
For the 26-year-old Kazakhstani, the trophy became the 13th singles title of her career. The victory in Germany also strengthened her position in the 2026 WTA Race, where she now leads with 3983 points.
This year, the tournament’s prize fund stands at 1,049,083 euros. The winner receives 161,310 euros and 500 ranking points.
