Presumably, the man worked at the Ukrainian embassy for about a year and a half, Orda.kz reports, citing Elmedia.
There has been no official confirmation.
According to the outlet’s sources, the detained assistant of the military attaché of Kazakhstan’s embassy in Ukraine is named "Anuar B." His arrest became possible in Poland, as diplomatic immunity applied to him only within Ukraine. Reportedly, he had been employed at the embassy for approximately 18 months.
In early August, Polish authorities announced the detention of a diplomat from one of the post-Soviet Asian countries, without naming the state. Two days ago, unconfirmed reports surfaced that the detainee is from Kazakhstan.
He is purportedly suspected of spying against Poland and its NATO allies.
