The Ministry of Energy announced the completion of repairs at the field, Orda.kz reports.
Tengizchevroil completed scheduled repairs in September 2024.
However, a month later, the Ministry of Energy announced the need for additional work due to significant equipment wear.
According to information from the subsoil user, the repair work has been successfully completed, and preparations for the relaunch are now underway. Full capacity is expected to be reached by January 18 of this year, the department reported.
Previously, plans to expand the Tengiz field have been repeatedly discussed, particularly as a means for Kazakhstan to increase oil production significantly.
