Gasoline Has Risen In Price Again In Kazakhstan

Fuel prices have increased again in Kazakhstan amid a government moratorium on part of the market, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the average price of AI-95 rose by 1.3% in February, reaching 308 tenge per liter. AI-98 gasoline increased by 3.7%, to 334 tenge per liter.
At the same time, the price of the most popular fuel grade, AI-92, slightly decreased by 0.4%, to 235 tenge ($0.48) per liter. The price of summer diesel remained at about 330 ($0.67) tenge per liter.
Prices are rising despite the government’s moratorium on capping fuel prices. However, the restrictions apply only to AI-92 and summer diesel. The prices of AI-95 and AI-98 are not regulated by the state, so they can change freely. The restriction remains in force until the end of the first quarter of 2026.
