New Constitution Day And Parliamentary Elections: Tokayev’s Key Statements

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met at the Kazmedia Ortalygy studio with representatives of youth organizations that took part in the campaign during the national referendum, Orda.kz reports.
According to Tokayev, the new Constitution is largely focused on young people. The document includes provisions on volunteering, the development of science, innovation, and artificial intelligence.
From now on, March 15 will be celebrated as Constitution Day.
Undoubtedly, this day will forever remain in the country’s history. I have read the constitutions of many countries, and I can say with confidence that our Basic Law is among the most progressive.the president said.

Tokayev also said that the country is entering its next important political stage.
A large-scale campaign was conducted. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Parliamentary elections will be held in the summer, and we must go through them together as one country. I believe that this should become a youth parliament.Tokayev said.
The head of state also reviewed the exit poll results announced after voting ended in Kazakhstan. According to him, the poll results show that the majority of citizens supported the constitutional reform.
Tokayev also said that the referendum was held openly and in accordance with the law. According to him, this is confirmed by both Kazakh and international observers.
Under the law, the final results of the vote will be summarized by the Central Referendum Commission after the ballot count is completed.
