Telegram has denied deleting VChK-OGPU's channel, Orda reports, citing MediaZona.
The channel was deleted by its owner, possibly due to unauthorized access. We are investigating the situation, Telegram’s press service told Mediazona.
The team behind the VChK-OGPU channel has claimed that Telegram had removed their community, along with several other channels mentioned in a ruling by the Tagansky District Court.
Meanwhile, the team has denied Telegram's claim, according to ASTRA:
VChK-OGPU states that the account linked to the channel was blocked by Telegram’s administration along with the channel itself. The account remains blocked. We have yet to receive any response to the dozens of emails and messages sent to various Telegram departments, including the press service. We can state with full confidence that there was no unauthorized access. Telegram deleted the channel itself and is now trying to cover up its clear cooperation with the Russian authorities.
