Qyzylorda Schoolgirl: Fourth Sentence Handed Down

The court found a woman guilty of involving a minor in prostitution. She has received a four-year sentence, Orda.kz reports.
In Qyzylorda City Court No. 2, a criminal case was heard in a closed session against A., accused under parts 2 and 3 of article 309 of the Criminal Code. The trial concerned the involvement of a minor in prostitution.
The court found that the defendant knowingly used a minor for financial gain. Evidence includes the crime scene inspection reports, the results of in-person questioning, and the victim's testimony.
The defendant knew about the victim's age but continued her actions.
The prosecutor asked the court to find the defendant guilty and sentence her to four years of imprisonment under Part 2 of Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
The prosecutor proposed to partially satisfy the claim for moral damages - 5 million tenge.
In turn, the affected party and her representatives requested the court to impose a minimum term, as the defendant has a minor child.
The defense proposed to acquit the defendant due to lack of evidence of a crime.
The court took into account that Article 309 of the Criminal Code provides for a punishment of three to seven years of imprisonment.
Following Article 53 of the Criminal Code, the defendant's lack of a criminal record and having a minor child are indicated as mitigating circumstances.
No aggravating circumstances are in the indictment.
The court found A. guilty under parts 2 and 3 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code and sentenced her to four years of imprisonment. The claim for moral damages was also partially satisfied.
The verdict has not entered into legal force.
The current sentence is already the fourth in the case concerning the sexual exploitation of the Qyzylorda schoolgirl.
The first two sentences in the same case were handed down on November 10 and December 12. In the first case, the defendant received 4.5 years of imprisonment, in the second, six years and eight months.
The third sentence was announced the other day. NeMolchi reported that it concerned a sauna administrator in Qyzylorda.
NeMolchi also reported that she she had already been convicted for a similar crime a year earlier but received a suspended sentence.
The defendant was accused of repeated pandering with the involvement of a minor in prostitution.
The prosecution requested 4.5 years of imprisonment, and the court satisfied the request.
