Orda.kz Editorial Team to Cease Operations on September 1
The Orda.kz editorial team will cease operations completely on September 1, 2026. The decision was made by Maksat Ganiev, founder and first head of Ordamedia.kz LLP.
The closure will affect the main news website and all associated social media accounts, including the YouTube channel.
The reason is financial: the newsroom’s revenue is no longer sufficient to sustain its operations. There are no other reasons behind the decision.
The editorial team will make every effort to fulfil all outstanding obligations.
Orda.kz asks colleagues in Kazakh and international media to rely solely on official statements regarding the closure.
The newsroom will continue publishing until the end of August 31. No new content will be released from September 1.
