Over 6,000 Kazakhstanis Return Home From the Middle East

Airlines have already operated 37 flights for this purpose, Orda.kz reports.
According to the Civil Aviation Committee, more than 10 additional flights arrived in Kazakhstan from the Middle East on the night of March 7-8.
On the night of March 7-8, 11 flights operated by Air Astana, SCAT, FlyDubai and Air Arabia arrived in Kazakhstan from Middle Eastern countries, bringing 1,786 passengers.the committee said.
In total, since March 3, 37 flights have been operated from countries in the region to Kazakhstan, bringing 6,254 people home. On March 8, Kazakh and foreign airlines also scheduled additional flights for the return of citizens.
Earlier, we wrote that Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged citizens to refrain from traveling to the Middle East because of ongoing hostilities and the closure of airspace in a number of countries in the region. The ministry recommended that Kazakhstanis follow security measures and stay in contact with diplomatic missions.
Recall that on February 28, the armed forces of the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran, carrying out airstrikes on a number of targets. Since then, tensions in the region have continued to grow.
Against the backdrop of the escalating situation, Kazakhstan continues to evacuate its citizens from the Middle East. Special flights are being organized to bring them home.
