MP Maksat Tolykbay was unable to enter the fenced off Ushkonyr plateau in Shamalgan. According to him, 15 thousand hectares of state land are surrounded by armed guards, reports Orda.kz .
Public activist Saule Bikiteyeva published the video with the deputy.
There is a mountain Ushkonyr in the village of Shamalgan. They blocked off the road to it, posting armed men (there - Ed.). No one is allowed in there. People can't get to the cattle pastures. People who have state acts in their hands cannot access their lands. No one is allowed in. They might not let me in either. This is some kind of private state, Maksat Tolykbay said.
The deputy suggested that the lands may belong to former President Nursultan Nazarbayev or his relatives.
Who is there? If the land is not Nazarbayev's, who else could it be? Let's bring out the cadastre’s owner. No one has the right to close this public road. The land belongs to the national park, the deputy noted.
According to the Majilis deputy, the prosecutor's office and other competent authorities have not cleared things up in the situation.
The villagers also note that the land in Ushkonyr was allocated to state farms in Soviet times. Uzynagash district's residents used to graze cattle here.
RMB: In 2022, Orda correspondents visited the first president's small hometown, where his relatives still live.
