Worker Buried Alive at Uralsk Construction Site

Rescuers pulled a 60-year-old worker from a pit after soil collapsed on him at a construction site in Uralsk, Orda.kz reports, citing the Emergency Situations Ministry.
The incident occurred at a construction site on Abay Avenue. The man was insulating a foundation when the soil collapsed, trapping him. He was unable to free himself.
Rescuers pulled the worker from the pit and handed him over to an ambulance crew.
Orda.kz previously reported a similar incident in Zhezkazgan. A worker died after being buried under soil at a depth of around two meters while a sewer line was being installed.
Police opened a criminal case over alleged violations of workplace safety requirements.
