Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov explained how he resolved the issue, Orda.kz reports.

During a government press conference, Saparov detailed his recent trip to Moscow to address export concerns.

I met with the Minister of Agriculture, the head of Rosselkhoznadzor. Matters regarding grain, legumes, and oilseeds have been resolved. The wagons are not standing at the transshipment point like before. We quickly resolved this, and they are shipping the exports.

While grain transit issues have been resolved, flower shipments from third countries still face challenges.

In November, the transit was documented. But they put forward a requirement - without transshipment, you see, immediately load onto the ship. And in order to load several hundred wagons onto the ship, you need so much downtime. That's why I left already in January and resolved the issue so that they would allow transshipment. Now the export is going well. In addition, we are now also looking for other markets, working in parallel, so that there is competition, so that we can also ship to Europe through the Baltics.

The development follows Russia's October 17, 2024, implementation of restrictions on wheat and other products from Kazakhstan.
