China's Foreign Ministry rejected accusations from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that it is supplying weapons to Russia, calling the claims "groundless," Orda.kz reports, citing Radio Free Europe.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that China has not provided lethal weapons to any party involved in the conflict.
The response followed comments made by Zelenskyy on April 17, during which he publicly alleged for the first time that China was aiding Russia’s war efforts.
