Truck Traffic Returns to Kazakh-Russian Border

A line of trucks has formed at the Kazakh-Russian border in the Pavlodar region amid a seasonal increase in fruit and vegetable shipments, Orda.kz reports.
According to Kazakhstan’s Border Guard Service, the congestion has been recorded at the Kosak checkpoint, which is now operating in enhanced mode.
The situation is related to a seasonal increase in the transportation of fruit and vegetable products,the Border Guard Service said.
The checkpoint’s average outbound capacity is about 200–220 freight vehicles per day.
The agency reminded drivers that an electronic queue system is available at the Kosak checkpoint. It allows them to check available slots for specific dates and plan the time and place of their border crossing in advance.
