The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied Azerbaijan’s claims about alleged ceasefire violations, Orda.kz reports.
Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported that Armenian forces attempted three reconnaissance operations using unmanned aerial vehicles and drones and opened fire on Azerbaijani positions on March 29–30.
The statement by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that allegedly on the evening of March 29 and the morning of March 30, units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border is not true,
the Armenian Defense Ministry stated.
The Ministry recalled that the RA Prime Minister’s Office had proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and related reports. However, the Ministry reports Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this proposal.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirmed that, in line with the Prime Minister’s Office position, it remains ready to investigate any incidents cited by the Azerbaijani side — if the relevant information is provided.
