Trump criticized the Ukrainian leadership, questioning where all the finances the US has provided since the beginning of the war is, Orda.kz reports, citing the BBC Russian service.
We gave Kyiv, I think, $350 billion. Well, maybe a little less, but it's a significant amount. But where is all this money? Where is it going?" Trump said.
President Zelenskyy disputed these figures.
I think we need to sort out the aid. We have absolute figures. The war cost us 320 billion. 120 billion is us, the people of Ukraine, 200 billion is Ukraine and the EU. We are talking about weapons, 320 billion is the arms package. In total, the US, if we count separately, gave us about 67 billion in weapons plus 31.5 billion in financial aid to the budget, he said.
State Department records show that by January 20, 2025, before Trump's inauguration, the United States had provided approximately $69.2 billion in military assistance to Ukraine during Russia's full-scale invasion.
The Council on Foreign Relations estimates total American aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war at $175 billion.
The U.S. President continued his criticism, referring to Zelenskyy as a "dictator without elections" and alleging mismanagement of allocated funds.

The U.S. President has criticized the Ukrainian leader twice following discussions between Moscow and Washington representatives in Riyadh.
