Israel Looks To Open Direct Flights To Kazakhstan

Direct flights between Kazakhstan and Israel would have a positive impact on business and trade relations between the two countries, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said, Orda.kz reports.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Herzog held expanded-format talks at Akorda.
Tokayev said Kazakhstan and Israel have maintained friendly relations since the first years of Kazakhstan’s independence. Israel was one of the first countries to recognize the republic’s sovereignty. He separately stressed the importance of the Abraham Accords, which he said help develop trade and economic ties.
We believe the official ceremony for joining the Abraham Accords could take place in Astana in the near future.Tokayev said.
The sides also discussed cooperation in AI and digitalization. They also discussed launching direct flights to develop ties and increase trade turnover.
A number of agreements are now being prepared, including one on the elimination of double taxation.
