The monthly audience of Kazakhstan’s Aitu messenger exceeds one million active users, Orda.kz reports.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Rostislav Konyashkin. According to him, the figure includes both users of the messenger itself and corporate clients who use the platform in their workflows.
Konyashkin stressed that Aitu is a product of a private company, not a state-developed service. At the same time, he said the ministry works with the developer and offers recommendations on the platform’s development. Unlike the Russian messenger MAX, which journalists asked him about, Aitu operates without restrictions on competing services.
If we are talking about a comparison with the MAX messenger, I do not think it is appropriate. We do not have any restrictive measures against other messengers or other foreign-developed products. Accordingly, every citizen is free to choose the product that is convenient for them and that they see value in.Konyashkin said at a government briefing.
In addition to messaging functions, Aitu offers other services, including a news feed, music and other content.
He also added that the ministry does not review ratings in the App Store or Google Play and does not track possible manipulation of those ratings.
