Artificial intelligence is being tested in Kazakhstan’s construction sector, Industry and Construction Minister Yersayin Nagaspayev said, Orda.kz reports.
According to him, a pilot project using computer vision and AI has been launched at the planning and urban development stage. The system analyzes construction sites and compares them with approved project documentation.
This makes it possible to reduce the time needed to detect non-compliance from three working days to four hours and to minimize the risks of illegal construction.Nagaspayev said at a government meeting.
The authorities expect this approach to help reduce the risks of illegal development and strengthen oversight of project implementation. He also said drones will be introduced in Kazakhstan’s cities.
At the same time, together with Kazakhtelecom, work is underway on the use of drones to create digital twins of cities.the minister added.
