Young Man Detained Over Provocative Photo at Baiterek

A 19-year-old man was detained in Astana after a provocative photo shoot near the Baiterek monument, Orda.kz reports.
The post caused outrage on social media, where many users called his behavior disrespectful.
During social media monitoring, the publication was identified. A capital resident is being prosecuted for petty hooliganism, and the materials have been sent to court for a decision. He was placed in a temporary detention facility,the police department said.
Police stressed that such actions are unacceptable, violate social norms and show clear disrespect for the city’s cultural and significant sites.
