Where Direct Flights to Kazakhstan’s New Resort Airports Will Operate

After the completion of airport construction in Katon-Karagay, Zaisan, Arkalyk and Kenderli, new air routes are expected to open in Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports.
In response to an Orda.kz request, the Transport Ministry said the launch of new destinations will cover key cities and tourist areas of the country, including direct flights from Astana, Almaty and Atyrau.
The planned routes are:
- Almaty — Kenderli
- Atyrau — Kenderli
- Astana — Kenderli
- Almaty — Zaisan
- Astana — Zaisan
- Almaty — Arkalyk
- Astana — Arkalyk
- Astana — Katon-Karagay
- Almaty — Katon-Karagay
The selection of airlines for the above routes will be carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with the rules for subsidizing air routes approved by a government resolution.the ministry said.
