Chinese Tourist Arrivals in Kazakhstan Rose Sharply in 2025, Analysts Say

The number of tourists from China visiting Kazakhstan continues to grow. In 2025, the country was visited by 241,700 Chinese citizens, 38.9% more than a year earlier, Orda.kz reports, citing Energyprom.kz analysts.
China has firmly held second place among the countries sending the most visitors to Kazakhstan, behind only Russia. Analysts link the growing interest to the active development of bilateral tourism, including themed tourism years and expanded air connections.
Russia remains the leading source of tourists visiting Kazakhstan. In 2025, 429,800 people arrived from Russia, 7.2% more than a year earlier. China ranked second, with 241,700 visitors, posting a much stronger annual increase of 38.9%.
Overall, China remains one of the fastest-growing tourism markets for Kazakhstan. The flow of visitors from China has been rising steadily for several years in a row.
