“We are different, but we are united”: Tokayev Congratulates Kazakhstanis on Unity Day
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstanis on the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, saying the holiday symbolizes the main values of society — cohesion, tolerance and love for the homeland, Orda.kz reports.
Accord is priceless happiness — as ancient folk wisdom says. It is important that the traditions of peace, compassion and mutual assistance remain an integral part of the national mentality of our united people.
We are different, but we are united. The formula ‘Unity in Diversity’ aptly reflects the very essence of both state policy and the everyday life of Kazakhstanis.the message said.
Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan has brought together people of different ethnic groups who have become one big family.
This is our shared wealth.
He also noted that the principles of unity and solidarity are enshrined in the Constitution and form the foundation of the country’s development.
