President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has planned a trip to the regions. This time, the choice fell on the north, namely Kostanay. The trip is set for September 10. This is a routine presidential visit; the local authorities are trying to create an impeccable atmosphere. An Orda.kz correspondent found out what Kostanay region officials of the Kostanay region are ready to do.
According to those involved in the preparation, the city and regional Akimats have undertaken the task to ensure the utmost respect for the occasion. Random residents will not be able to converse with the President. Office workers, street cleaners, factory workers - everyone has been diligently prepared weeks in advance, their speeches meticulously analyzed and censored.
We must move so that good light falls on our president, keep our distance from him, and not get too close. Ordinary Kazakhstanis who meet him on the street - passers-by, office workers, and business workers - must also follow strict rules. There is a rigorous selection process among them so that they are not too aggressive and do not blurt out anything unnecessary,
aid our interlocutor.
However, this is limited to the Kostanay region. Procedures such as asphalt washing, round-the-clock street sweeping, and paving repairs had already become a type of standard before the arrival of the Head of state.
People who are to meet with Toqayev are given a serious sidebar They are earnestly asked not to complain to the president about anything and not to demand anything unnecessary from him. Otherwise, the authorized bodies may get a 'slap on the wrist.' They should only call him 'myrza' (Kazakh for sir/Mr. - Ed.), not extend their hand for a handshake first, and stand at attention. At the same time, the Akimat of Kostanay Region, represented by Kumar Aksakalov, demands that Kostanay residents behave relaxed and smile more often, added the speaker.
Our interlocutor underscores that the preparation for the president's arrival has become a taxing burden for many. City maintenance personnel are urged to clean incessantly, even on their days off.
The president's visit to the region is mainly connected with visiting industrial facilities, particularly a new plant for producing automobile components. The enterprise has notably close ties with Russia. Large-scale construction of two modern production facilities for cast iron castings has been underway for several years. They have been spruced up and are ready to be demonstrated to the president. They bought golf carts and even built an elevator to move the president and his entourage to the second floor.
Our officials' approach to the head of state's visit is far from new. Nursultan Nazarbayev was greeted similarly in his time.
