Tensions Rise at Atyrau Ambulance Station Over Leadership Dispute
A senior medical official in Atyrau has come forward with serious allegations against her superior, Orda.kz reports.
Dr. Nargiz Abdrakhmanova, deputy director of the regional ambulance station and a physician with 15 years of experience, has accused station head Azamat Yerbolov of systematic harassment and inappropriate management practices.
He does everything to make my job difficult. The director accuses me of falsifying data, imposes disciplinary sanctions without any grounds. The last straw was the replacement of the door in my office without my knowledge. In the middle of winter, my colleague and I were left without a door, and we are forced to work in conditions that cannot be called normal, Abdrakhmanova said.
The deputy director claims she's faced ongoing harassment for two years, with multiple complaints through the E-otinish platform going unanswered by authorities.
She describes a pattern of professional isolation and disrespect toward the medical team.
My 15-year reputation is being destroyed before our eyes. I am not allowed to speak at planning meetings. I have been cut off from access to the work program and email, and have been excluded from committees, she adds.
The situation has reportedly created widespread anxiety among staff, with Abdrakhmanova citing instances of sudden terminations. She has called for government intervention, stating:
We cannot remain silent when work turns into a battlefield.
