A rare moment was captured by a camera trap installed high in the mountains by forester Zhomart Amanbayev. A family of snow leopards was spotted again in the same area, Orda.kz reports.
A few months ago, a female snow leopard with three cubs was first caught on camera in this location. Now the same family has appeared in front of the camera again.
The cubs, first seen in winter, have grown noticeably and now confidently follow their mother, moving freely through the highlands of Katon-Karagai.
Earlier, Orda.kz wrote that the number of snow leopards in Kazakhstan has more than doubled and reached about 190 individuals.
