Said He'd Be Back Soon: Details on Situation with Sherzat Polat’s Uncle

On December 9, Sherzat Polat's uncle, Nurganat Gaipbayev, was found dead. According to preliminary police reports, the cause was asphyxiation, Orda reports.
No signs of violence were found on the body. Sherzat Polat's family was under 24-hour guard, and Nurganat Gaipbayev's departure did not go unnoticed.
An Orda journalist was told he left around midnight alone, saying he would return soon. Later, his body was discovered on the outskirts of Talgar. He was 30 years old.
The homicide case of teenager Sherzat Polat is being handled by the team of human rights activist Aitbek Amangeldy. A message of condolences appeared on the page justice_for_sherzat, which they created.

Meanwhile, Gaipbayev's family rejects the suicide version, according to his sister. She told an Orda correspondent about this.
