Kazakh farmers will not face higher fuel prices because of Russia’s ban on diesel exports, Deputy Agriculture Minister Azat Sultanov said, Orda.kz reports.
Farmers submitted requests for 402,000 tonnes of discounted diesel imported from Russia, and deliveries to the regions have already begun.
The Energy Ministry approved the requested volume in full, and a delivery schedule has been drawn up. Farmers will receive all the fuel they requested at prices 12–15% below those currently charged at filling stations across the country,Sultanov said.
He added that even if wholesale diesel prices increase, the price paid by agricultural producers will remain unchanged.
