Russia Has Not Requested Fuel Purchases, Energy Ministry Says

Russia has not sent any official request to Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry to buy fuel, Deputy Energy Minister Kayyrkhan Tutkyshbayev said at a government meeting, Orda.kz reports.
According to him, the ministry has not received any relevant appeals from the Russian side.
There have been no official appeals from the Russian Federation to the Energy Ministry. If such an appeal is received, we will consider it based on national interests and mutually beneficial terms,Tutkyshbayev said.
The deputy minister did not say whether such proposals had been received through other channels. He only said there had been no official request to the Energy Ministry.
