Ridder Thermal Power Plant Incident: Patients' Conditions Stable But Severe.

The East Kazakhstan region health department reported on the condition of six injured workers, an Orda.kz correspondent reports.
An incident occurred during scheduled repair work at the thermal power plant in Ridder on Saturday, December 21, at 4:39 a.m.
The city administration has said six thermal power plant workers received burns of varying degrees of severity.
Immediately after the incident, everyone was hospitalized in the Ridder City Hospital. The patients' condition is assessed as stable but serious.
At the moment, the patients are conscious and breathing on their own. The medical workers are providing all the necessary assistance, the patients are under constant supervision. A team from the regional center has arrived, we will hold a consultation, assess the condition and possibly carry out transportation to the regional centerthe head of the East Kazakhstan region health department, Tolegen Zhigitayev, reported.
A team of East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Medical Center doctors arrived in Ridder to treat the injured workers.
We were informed that three serious;y injured people were taken to Oskemen for treatment.
The Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Yermek Kosherbayev, also visited the injured workers.
Earlier, he was at the thermal power plant and reported that the incident would not affect the operation of the plant.
