Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan to be Established in Almaty

On March 4, 2025, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution to establish a regional center, with 152 countries co-authoring the measure, according to President Toqayev's press secretary, Ruslan Zheldybay, reports Orda.kz.
Zheldybay described this as a significant achievement in Kazakhstan's foreign policy.
President Toqayev expressed his gratitude to all partners who supported Kazakhstan's initiative. He believes the UN regional hub will serve as an essential platform for coordinating international efforts throughout the region.
