Rare Red Book Bear Captured on Camera Trap

A Tien Shan brown bear, listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book of endangered species, was unknowingly caught on a camera trap in Kolsay Lakes National Park, Orda.kz reports.

This rare footage confirms that bears still inhabit the national park, which speaks to the stability of the natural environment, noted the Forestry and Wildlife Committee. 

Almost a year ago, another Tien Shan brown bear was captured on camera in Altyn-Emel National Park as well.
