New Legal Culture Lesson Introduced in Kazakh Schools and Colleges Amid Bullying Prevention Efforts

Starting today, legal culture lessons are being held in 1,000 schools and colleges across Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports, citing Ministry of Education.
The project was expanded after a pilot in the Talgar district, where a decrease in bullying and offenses was recorded, the department noted. More than 600 mentors with experience in law enforcement agencies have been involved in the lessons.
The largest coverage was provided in Shymkent — about 100 educational organizations, in the Karaganda region — more than 190, in the Pavlodar region — about 110.the statement said.
Lessons are held every two weeks.
The initiative is aimed at preventing offenses and fostering a legal culture among students, the ministry added.
