New Direct Flights From Kazakhstan To Warsaw, Izmir, And Larnaca

Direct flights from Almaty to Warsaw have been launched, while new routes to Cyprus and Turkey will open this summer, Orda.kz reports.
The announcement was made by Yerlan Zhetybayev, official representative of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, LOT Polish Airlines has begun operating direct flights between Almaty and Warsaw. Flights will operate four times a week in summer and three times a week in winter.
SunExpress will launch direct flights between Almaty and Izmir, Turkey, on July 31, 2026. The airline will operate two flights a week until the end of October.
New routes to Larnaca, Cyprus, will also open from Astana and Almaty. Air Astana will start operating flights on the Astana–Larnaca route on June 2, with two flights per week. Flights from Almaty to Larnaca will begin on June 4, departing on Thursdays and Sundays.
On July 31, 2026, SunExpress will open a direct flight between Almaty and Izmir. Until the end of October, the carrier will operate flights twice a week. In addition, from June 2, Air Astana will start flying on the Astana–Larnaca route. The airline has planned two flights a week. Another route to Larnaca will open from Almaty on June 4. Planes will depart on Thursdays and Sundays,Zhetybayev said.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with state bodies, Kazakhstan’s foreign missions, and international partners, continues working to expand the country’s international route network.
