More Than 9000 Aggressors Sent To Correctional Programs In Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has ordered thousands of aggressors to undergo correctional programs under a new law on the prevention of offenses, Orda.kz reports.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sanzhar Adilov explained how the new law on the prevention of offenses is being implemented in Kazakhstan during a meeting in the Mazhilis.
According to Adilov, since the law came into force in March 2026, police have issued official warnings to 1,928 people, while 49 offenders have been banned from approaching their victims.
More than 35,000 protective orders have been issued. Courts established special behavioral requirements for 9,200 aggressors, including 8,300 people who were banned from drinking alcohol,Adilov said.
According to him, more than 10,000 people were held accountable for violating the restrictions. All of them were ordered by courts to undergo mandatory psychological correction programs.
