Kremlin Rep Responds to Trump's Deal Demands

Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said the Kremlin is monitoring Trump's statements but has received no direct signals from Washington, Orda reports, citing Kommersant.
We see no particularly new elements here. Trump [in his first term] was an American president who frequently used sanctions as methods. He likes these methods, Peskov stated.
He added that Russia remains open to "equal and respectful dialogue" with the U.S., similar to during Trump's first term.
Trump has threatened Russia with sanctions if it refuses negotiations on Ukraine, claiming he's doing Putin "a huge favor" and warning of a "difficult path" if Russia resists.
